My name is Michelle Constantine Wiarda. I'm an artist, photographer and designer. I have been fortunate to gain experience in a myriad of areas in the artistic realm during my extensive career. I work with traditional and digital media. No one is exclusive.
I have enjoyed many happy and successful years as a designer, art director, creative director, artist and photographer. I have tremendous diversity in my experience. I have been responsible for every aspect of the catalog design and direct mail marketing process.
I was instrumental in the creation of a new brand catalog. I have directed product photo shoots, worked with models and photo stylists, edited photos, designed catalog pages, set the type, attended the press runs, and I have photographed products for advertising and catalog use.
I also design corporate identity packages, logos, advertisements, direct mail pieces, brochures, sales sheets, trade show display graphics, durotrans, package designs, posters, t-shirt designs, web graphics, and web sites.
I have been taking pictures, drawing and painting since I was a child. I started out drawing horses with conte crayon and progressed to acrylic on canvas. I paint landscapes, seascapes, lighthouses, flowers and more. I have experimented with lots of different media, and I found that I was most attracted to the luminosity and transparency of watercolor. With watercolor there really are no second chances, you need to get it right the first time. I like the challenge that presents. Although sometimes I still get apprehensive when approaching that blank, soft white sheet of beautiful, cold pressed watercolor paper whose life I hold in my hands!
I have been photographing wildlife, landscapes, people, places and pets since I was in high school, and I have a vast library of images from which I draw for my design and fine art purposes. That library is growing constantly!
I graduated from Belmont High School, in Belmont Massachusetts where I took every art course offered. Art was my favorite subject and I had some really great teachers to inspire me. I decided to pursue my love of creating art, and photos as a career and I chose to study graphic design and marketing at Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts, where it all began.
My fine art photographs, original watercolor paintings, and giclee prints are held in numerous private collections throughout the world.
With whichever media I use it simply is my hope that when people see my work, it will evoke emotion.
Many have asked "Why G2G Visions?" G2G represents Glory to God. God created everything I lay my eyes on, and in honor of God I present his works as I see them.
O, when I am safe in my sylvan home,
